Charles Smith
Among the challenges facing young adults is figuring out who they are and where they are going in life. It becomes significantly harder when a young adult has faced a trauma. Getting on the other side of the trauma is a self-empowering journey that one cannot do alone and without the proper knowledge. All too often, individuals struggle with asking for and accepting help.
I bring my experiences to the table to offer an example and to let people know that they are not alone. Audiences will become more comfortable naming their experiences, finding peace, and imagining themselves tapping into their potential. Through relatable stories and straight-forward encouragement, I believe that people can heal from within and not just cover up their wounds.
About Charles
I am Charles Smith, an Army infantry veteran, an author, and a certified peer support specialist. I have extensive experience in Compounded Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, addiction recovery, and situational awareness based on my personal experiences, professional experience, and research.]
Since 1993, I have been in long-term addiction recovery since completing Army Infantry Basic Training as my detox for Compounded Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.
In these areas, I am an authority due to my lifelong experience. In my presentation, I use the term LifeLong Experience, L.L.E., since that is what I offer to audiences, as a speaker and an author. I support people who have to live with this every day, from Veterans like myself to civilians who were dealt a bad hand like I was. My goal is to help support people through life's challenges, and break through the walls of depression, anxiety, PTSD, and/or addiction so they can live fuller, and happier lives! :-)
Charles is such an amazing man who overcame so many obstacles and instead of giving up he wants to help others with their journey.
